STUCCO AND CEMENT SURFACES:

The first step in surface preparation is to remove the loose paint, dirt and dust. It is done by power washing. The mildew is killed with mildew cleaner or a solution of bleach and water. Once the surface has been washed and cleaned it needs to dry to ensure that paint doesn’t peel prematurely ruining the entire project. .

STUCCO CRACKS OR HOLES:

Paint preparation also calls for filling in any holes, cracks, or other blemishes with calk or spackle and then priming any oil-based surfaces with primer before beginning the actual job. Once an area is prepared, the project runs much more smoothly with greater quality assurance.

WOOD SURFACES:

Finely finished wood can be a major decorative feature or provide a subtle background for other effects. Old finish, dirt and chalk are removed by sanding or using paint and varnish remover. Any undesirable stains are leached out. The entire surface is washed with solvent and allowed to dry. It’s then sanded until smooth and all dust is removed.

METAL SURFACES:

All metal surfaces must be clean and free of rust, mill scale, grease, oil, dirt and other foreign matter. Terne metal surfaces must be abraded with steel wool or abrasive paper prior to painting. Galvanized metal must be cleaned well in order to remove all surface film. All bare metal areas must be primed.

PROTECTING, STORAGE AND CLEAN-UP:

We always start every job with protecting all adjacent areas and surfaces. Inside, the items are placed in the center of the room and covered with clean sheeting. All floors are protected with drop cloths. Outside, the shrubs, flowers, and other items are protected as needed.

MATERIALS AND APPLICATION:

We use pure, unadulterated and high quality materials. The materials comply with the current requirements of the environmental agency, the appropriate Air Pollution Control District and other agencies. Our materials are applied using the highest quality applicators such as airless paint sprayers, rollers and brushes.

INSURANCE COVERAGE:

WARRANTY:

Colarossi Painting Company Inc provides the paint manufacturer' Product Warranty and a full 2-year warranty against peeling, chipping and flaking. This warranty excludes damages caused by excessive moisture due to sprinkles and structural moisture problems.
